Each time the bus is used, it costs approximately £330 to operate. This amount covers expenses such as fuel, insurance, and maintenance. While we ask for a donation based on what you can afford, most people typically contribute around £50 to help cover these costs. Your support is greatly appreciated and helps keep the bus running smoothly for the entire community.
How much does it cost to hire the bus?
The bus can be used for activities within the HG5 postcode area. These include Knaresborough, Scotton, Ferrensby, Brearton, Flaxby, Goldsborough, Scriven, Calcutt, Arkendale, Allerton Mauleverer, Coneythorpe, Farnham, Hoppteron, Plompton and Staveley.
We are more than willing to take the bus to events further afield to showcase its value as a vital community asset. By attending various events outside our immediate area, we aim to raise awareness about the many benefits the SPACE Bus offers, from educational programs and social activities to community support services.

How far will the bus travel?
We assume that you have your own public liability insurance in place. Rest assured, we also have comprehensive insurance that covers the bus and all activities conducted on board. This ensures a safe and secure environment for everyone involved. You will be required to complete a risk assessment and we can support you with this.
Do we need insurance?
The bus has hosted a wide range of activities, proving to be particularly well-suited for those that can be enjoyed while seated. Outfitted with gaming consoles, sports equipment, and a mini-cinema, the bus provides young people with a unique space to gather, relax, and engage in fun activities in a safe, supervised setting.
